Do your homework and find a way to differentiate yourself from the competition. Profitable and rewarding as this side business might be, you need to have a strong desire to make a change in the lives of others. Plus, you have to practice empathy and be a good listener.

Time management is an important skill for fitness instructors, especially those who work on a freelance basis.
