Betting Sites Not on Gamban and GamStop

Sports betting is massively popular in the UK. However, there are some people who take things too far and lose control of their gambling. That’s where the likes of Gamban and GamStop come into play.

    What is Gamban?

Gamban is an application that you can install on any of your mobile devices, tablets, or computers in order to block gambling apps and websites. It is a service that you pay for on a monthly basis and it covers most betting sites both in the UK and outside of the UK.

It is a privately funded company and is separate from GamStop. The goal of Gamban is to help people get in control of their gambling and reject any urges that may lead to them getting involved in irresponsible betting.

    How does it work?

In order to get started with Gamban, you can sign up for a free trial or get involved straight away with a subscription. Once you have your Gamban license, you can then download the app on your mobile devices, tablets, and/or computer.

All major devices are covered, including Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android. You won’t be able to access most betting sites and apps on these devices for as long as your subscription with Gamban is active.

    Is Gamban reliable?

Gamban is independently tested by respected bodies. These results are usually pretty good in terms of blocking betting sites. However, there will be the occasional betting site that does not get blocked. When this happens, Gamban asks users to report the specific website or app so that it can be blocked.

    Can Gamban be removed?

When you have an active Gamban license on any device, you will not be able to remove Gamban until this subscription expires. Even if you close your Gamban account, the block on betting sites and apps will remain until the subscription itself expires. Most people subscribe on a monthly basis.

What is the difference between Gamban and GamStop

The main difference between Gamban from GamStop is that the former is a privately funded company. A subscription fee is charged to gamblers that allow them to use Gamban. This means that betting sites will be blocked for as long as your subscription is ongoing. With Gamban, you will be able to block both UK-based and UK non-Gamstop Bookmakers. This is not the case with GamStop, which solely treats UK-licensed casinos.

Finally, there is no requirement to use Gamban in the UK. With GamStop, every single licensed betting site in the region will need to be a part of the self-exclusion program as per UK Gambling Commission rules. There is no fee attached with GamStop, you can join this self-exclusion list for free. However, it will only cover betting sites that are in the UK.

A lot of Betting Sites not on Gamban and GamStop

While Gamban does its best to block as many betting sites as possible, there are still going to be some platforms that do not get blocked. Online betting is hugely popular across the world, so there are thousands and thousands of different betting sites. New ones are constantly appearing, so Gamban is always playing catchup.

In terms of the GamStop offering, the self-exclusion program only covers those betting sites that are licensed by betting sites that have a UK Gambling Commission license. Otherwise, the self-exclusion program will not work for any betting sites that are based outside of the UK Gambling Commission’s jurisdiction.

    Why use Gamban when betting?

While betting is a massively popular pursuit across the world, some people can lose control and develop a gambling problem. The ease of access to placing bets is often a major issue for problem gamblers, as they can place bets via their mobile device in a matter of seconds.

Using Gamban allows you to address any gambling issues you may have by blocking betting sites and apps from your different devices for a certain period of time. This break could help you address your issues and hopefully be able to start betting in a more responsible manner if you return to the activity.

Gamban will block most betting sites and apps in the world today. This makes it a good platform to use, as some self-exclusion programs such as GamStop will only cover betting sites that are in the UK. Gamban offers a seven-day free trial for you to try out it’s offering for yourself. You can quickly see if it will be a useful tool for you or not.
