Do You Know How to Stay Healthy During The Summer?

Want to stay healthy in the summer season? While that may seem like a silly question to ask ”summer health tips” after all isn’t staying healthy during the summer simply a matter of hydrating and wearing sunscreen?

While those components are necessary to stay healthy during the summer diet, they are only part of the story. There is an old saying, “you are what you eat.”  This is especially true during the summertime.

This article will describe seven healthy foods you can eat to stay healthy this summer and healthy summer tips.

  1. Melons
  2. Bottle Gourd
  3. Salad leaves
  4. Watermelon juice
  5. Aam Panna
  6. Mint water with ln
  7. Barley water

Melons:

Melons can easily be referred to as nature’s summertime ‘health food’ because they are sweet, cool, juicy (because of their high water content), and healthy.  They go great eaten alone, or as a topping on salads. They are a great natural ingredient to include in shakes, smoothies, milkshakes, and chutneys.

They are low in calories and are very filling meaning they offer you the best opportunity to lose weight while enjoying what can easily be classified as ‘nature’s summertime dessert!’

Melons come with other added health benefits which include weight loss.  They can also help prevent serious illnesses and diseases like cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease, the common cold, and the flu!

Bottle Gourd:

Once again, these fruits have a high water content.  While they are not nearly as sweet and palatable as melons, you should eat them during the summer because they are good for you if you want to lose weight

Bottle Gourd is rich in many essential vitamins and minerals including calcium, magnesium, Vitamin A, vitamin C, and folate, among others. This fruit is excellent for controlling high blood pressure because it helps purify the blood.  It is also good for controlling and preventing heart disease.

Salad leaves:

These include all types of lettuce, amaranth, and rocket leaves.  It also includes basil, and other herbs you would put in a salad.

You can make a delicious meal out of them if you include them with your other favorite salad ingredients and top them off with a healthy, low-fat yogurt dressing.

They are loaded with nutrition and water. Eating them will fill you up without you overeating. You will lose oodles of weight as a result.  They are also great when combined with various fruits, nuts, white meats, peppers, coriander, or mint.

Watermelon juice:

The summertime health tips. This delicious juice is made out of watermelons.  Because watermelons are largely composed of water (90%), drinking their juice is a good way to stay super hydrated during the summer while losing weight!

But watermelon juice has other important health benefits which include improved digestion, reduced stomach problems, and healthier skin – drinking watermelon juice will reduce the incidence of acne breakouts and make your skin look glowing and youthful.

Some evidence even suggests that watermelon juice can slow down the aging process because of the high amounts of antioxidants that it contains.

Aam Panna:

The summer wellness tips. This is a Hindi term for mango juice.  Two glasses of this a day will help with digestion, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), among other chronic stomach problems.

You should make it at home to ensure the mango juice you drink is low in salt and sugar – consuming these in excess amounts is bad for your health because it raises your blood pressure and blood sugar levels!

Homemade lemonade with fresh lemon and mint

Mint water with lemon:

The summer diet. One glass of this a day will keep the doctor away, literally.  This is because it cleans your liver, increases your metabolism (meaning that it helps you lose weight faster), and helps control your appetite (which also helps you lose weight faster).

Barely water:

The summer nutrition tips. You should drink two glasses of this a day.  Since it has a bland taste which you may not like, you can make it tastier and more flavorful by adding a hint of honey or lemon.  Barley is rich in fiber so it fills you up and makes you regular. This means that it curbs your appetite and cleans out your system (makes you much less constipated).

So now that you know also summer health tips…

Now that you know which foods will make you stay healthy and lean enough to look hot in a bikini, bathing suit, or bathing trunks, it’s time to start incorporating them into your summer diet and health tips for the summer season.  You will be glad that you did!
